The project comprises a 22 km main road and a 3 km motorway, each has a width of 27 meters and two-side with three-lane for each one.
Moreover, it includes a 16 km two-lane detour road with a 9m width.
It also involves six U-turn overpasses, and a hydro bridge, as well as 96 water culverts, and a cattle pass. By the end of 2019, around 95% of the project was implemented.
This highway is part of the main road between Duhok and Erbil, it’s considered a strategic route and crucial for trade and commercial means.
